Summer: A Blueprint
This book was created over a week of ideation, sketching, designing, foraging, cyanotyping, and binding. The 3D designs were inspired by the work of futurist Buckminster Fuller, while its narrative is a deeply personal story about depression and loss. Native plants were layered over the computer generated imagery to add contrast in forms, juxtaposing increasingly neglected natural environments with indestructible digital worlds. The book is ultimately about grief and transformation in the 21st century, both of which are represented by the rich cyan.
